US Navy training Solomons police to clear WW2 unexploded ordnance

A US diving team training police in Solomon Islands says they're confident the country will have a fully functioning diving force within a few years.

The American underwater construction divers are training 20 police to clear unexploded ordnance from around the islands.

The team's leader, US Navy Chief Terry Juergens says they're putting the locals through a rigorous physical and mental training program.
