USP researcher finds new liverwort in Fiji

A new liverwort plant has been discovered in Fiji by a student from the University of the South Pacific.

Liverworts are known to be very sensitive to ecological and environmental changes and are indicators of climate change..

The discovery means that there could be more new species of plants still waiting to be discovered in Fiji.
