Vaccination expected to reduce cancer deaths in Solomon Islands

In Solomon Islands, a pilot vaccination program to prevent cervical cancer will begin next year in Honiara and Isabel.

Cervical cancer, known as the silent killer, is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths for women in the country.

Dr Cedric Alepandava, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health in Honiara, is speaking to Isabelle Genoux.
