Vanuatu expecting 'highly fragmented coalition'

Unofficial results from Vanuatu's national election have been pointing to prominent party leaders keeping their seats.

The count is into its second day, complicated by a record 346 candidates from 32 parties contesting 52 seats. It could well be a week before official results are announced, but the country appears to be headed for a highly fragmented coalition.
