Police in Vanuatu are expected to lay charges after a ferry sinking late last week that claimed at least two lives.

37 passengers and crew were on board when the Malekula to Port Vila ferry went down, apparently because the hull was holed.

Prime Minister, Joe Natuman, has offered his condolences to the victims' families and promised a full investigation.
