Vanuatu PM Sato Kilman 'confident' of surviving no confidence vote

Vanuatu Prime minister Sato Kilman if confident that he has enough support to defeat a motion of no confidence if the vote goes ahead in Parliament this afternoon.

Mr Kilman says he has the backing of 30 members of the 52 members after he reshuffled his Cabinet yesterday replacing one minister with a member of the opposition.

The Prime Minister has told Hilaire Bule that it would not surprise him if the opposition now abandons its bid to topple his government.
