Vanuatu Police says they are looking forward to members of the Australian Federal Police returning to the country.

This statement comes after a delay in the arrival of some Australian Federal Police officers in Port Vila on Monday this week.

Vanuatu expelled all AFP officers after the Vanuatu Prime Minister's politcal advisor was arrested at Sydney airport last year.

Reports from Port Vila say, the departure of the Australian Federal Police also impacted on Vanuatu's access to Interpol.
