Vanuatu politicians in closed door coalition talks

Final results from Vanuatu's election were due out today - but they've been delayed for another day and are now expected on Wednesday.

Meantime the 18-plus parties that could ultimately be represented in the new parliament are engaged in closed-door horsetrading to forming a government.

Today it's been reported that a Memorandum of Understanding has been reached between 10 of the parties - including the People's Progressive Party of Sato Kilman, Vanuatu's caretaker prime minister.
