Vanuatu youth trained to become climate change advocates

Updated 15 August 2013, 9:13 AEST

A new program to empower school students across the Pacific to get their messages on climate change in front of decision makers has been kicked off in Vanuatu.

Thirty students from two schools have been the first to be mentored in how to get the youth message more widely known through new media and also by governments.

Similar training will take place Samoa later this month and then later in Fiji for Kiribati and Tuvalu students.
