Wave-powered robots uncover secrets of the Pacific

Just over a year ago we brought you the story of four wave-powered robots setting off to collect scientific data from the hardest to reach corners of the Pacific.

They were hoping to break the World Record for the longest trip ever made by an unmanned ocean vehicle in the process.

Over 14,000 kilometres later, one of the gliders Papa Mau ('The Wayfinder') has broken that record and made some pretty interesting discoveries along the way.
