Young women set to play a bigger role in Solomon Islands election

As the election draws near, young women in the Solomons are hoping to have their voice heard and to see more female candidates elected.

At the moment there is only one female member of parliament in the whole country and she was elected in a by-election.

After the dissappointing results for women in the 2010 poll, a group of young women got together to form the Young Women's Parliamentary Group.
