Lights Off - Awareness On
Last Updated: 20 June 2008
As a step to raise awareness of global warming, Radio Australia is joining regional broadcasters to invite everyone to turn "Lights Off" for one hour on June 21.
In association with the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), Radio Australia is encouraging listeners to switch off your lights for one hour from 8pm, and to invite local businesses and buildings to join the effort.
We encourage you to use this time to think about the issues associated with climate change, and the implications for the Asia-Pacific region, and to join in this campaign to address a major regional problem.
