Five year ban for Pakistani bowler
Updated
The Pakistan Cricket Board has banned the fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar for five years, effectively ending his test career.
Shoaib was banned after facing the PCB's disciplinary committee on charges of publicly criticising the board.
The PCB ruled that it had lost confidence in Shoaib and felt his presence in the field was damaging the Pakistani team.
The 32-year-old was already on a two-year probation for hitting a team-mate with a bat.
