Heroic husband saves wife from croc

A doctor from the Royal Darwin Hospital says the victim of a crocodile attack has had a lucky escape but is not yet clear of further health complications.
The 36-year-old woman is in a stable condition in hospital after surviving a crocodile attack in Australia's north.
The woman was swimming with her husband at Litchfield National Park, about 160km south west of Darwin, when she was attacked by a two-and-a-half metre saltwater crocodile.
She suffered eight puncture wounds to the left thigh, a cut to the right thigh and a severe cut to a finger.
Darwin Police Watch Commander Bob Harrison says the quick thinking of her husband, who jumped on the croc's back, saved her life.
"I believe that through the actions of her husband she has now lived to tell the tale, which is terrific, and obviously he's a very heroic sort of person to do that," he said.
