A verdict has been returned in the inquest into the death of England's Princess Diana, saying she was unlawfully killed by negligent driving.

The jury reached the majority decision that the car crash that killed Princess Diana and her companion, Dodi al-Fayed in 1997 involved the grossly negligent driving of her chauffeur and paparazzi photographers.

The verdict comes more than 10 years after the crash that killed the Princess, Dodi al-Fayed and the driver Henri Paul in a Paris road tunnel.

Two police inquiries - conducted by French and British officers - had concluded the crash was an accident.
