Nauru's air carrier to provide Australia-Norfolk service
Updated
Nauru's national air carrier, "Our Airline" will provide services from the Australian mainland to the Pacific territory of Norfolk Island.
The service will be provided for "Norfolk Air" for the next five years, with the Nauruan airline to acquire another Boeing 737, painted in Norfolk Air's colours.
Currently, Our Airline operates just one aircraft, providing services between Brisbane, Solomon Islands, Nauru and Kiribati.
Norfolk Island's Finance Minister, Neville Christian, says the new deal will see more capable, new generation aircraft servicing the route, describing it as great news for both Norfolk Islanders and tourists alike.
Our Airline also recently signed an agreement with the Marshall Islands to provide services between Majuro and Fiji on behalf of Air Marshall Islands.
