Calls for Vietnam to release blogger
Updated
International journalists group Reporters Without Borders has called on Vietnam to release a blogger and all political prisoners detained ahead of next week's Olympic torch relay.
The rights group says journalist Nguyen Hoang Hai, better known by his blogger name Dieu Caywas, was arrested on April the 19th.
It says he'd participated in protests against Chinese policy in Ho Chi Minh City earlier this year and was being closely watched by police.
State-run media says he's been temporarily arrested for "tax evasion".
Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has ordered authorities to ensure a trouble-free torch relay, warning that "hostile forces" may seek to disrupt it.
