Pacific Islands Forum names Nauru election monitors

The two observers being sent by the Pacific Islands Forum to monitor general elections in Nauru on Saturday have been named.
They are Makurita Baaro, the former chief secretary and secretary to the Kiribati cabinet, and Shennia Spillane, from the forum secretariat.
Both were members of the Forum election observer team to Nauru's last general elections in August last year.
They are being sent to Nauru at the request of the island state's government, and will remain in the country until May 2.
