Fiji Times publisher reportedly taken into custody
Updated
Reports from Fiji says police and immigration officials have taken The Fiji Times publisher, Evan Hannah, into custody
It is believed that he will be deported on a morning flight from Nadi to Sydney.
Mr Hannah, who is an Australian, was detained at his residence in Tamavua.
In March, Australia's foreign minister, Stephen Smith, said he was concerned about moves by Fiji's military government to muzzle the media.
Owner of the Fiji Times, News Limited, has lodged an appeal against the deportation.
The only reason that has been given is that Mr Hanna has breached his work conditions.
