Clinton to continue White House bid
Updated
In the United States, Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton has declared she's staying in the presidential race despite her quickly-fading White House hopes.
Senator Clinton's chances of securing the Democratic nomination have diminished even further after a strong showing by her rival, Barack Obama, in the latest primaries.
The former first lady will find it virtually impossible to overtake Senator Obama's commanding lead in the remaining contests.
She's also been forced to lend her financially stricken campiagn $US6.5 million, but Senator Clinton says she won't be dropping out.
"I'm staying in this race until there's a nominee," she said.
West Virginia stages the next nominating primary in less than a week.
