Australian faces child porn importation charge
Updated
A 21-year-old man has been charged in the West Australian capital, Perth, with the import and export of child pornography.
The customs service says the investigation began when the Australian was stopped and searched after arriving in the city on a flight from the Philippines on Monday.
He's alleged to have been carrying a memory card that contained videos of underage sex.
Police and customs officers later searched a property north of Perth, and seized a computer.
If convicted, the man faces up to 10 years' jail.
He's due to appear in the Perth magistrates court on the 13th of June.
