Japanese military planes could deliver China aid

Japanese military aircraft could be used to deliver aid to earthquake-struck areas of China.
Our North Asia correspondent, Shane McLeod, reports from Tokyo Japan is taking the request as another sign of the magnitude of the disaster that's struck Sichuan Province.
Japan's government says it's been asked to use planes from its Self Defence Force to fly relief supplies into China.
Japanese military personnel have never visited China since being defeated as occupiers in World War Two.
Japan's government says it's considering the request but says it's unlikely the military would serve in any role other than to transport the relief supplies.
