Philippines' drug enforcement agency says high-grade methamphetamines from North Korea have started flooding the country.

Dionisio Santiago, a retired general says a huge shipment of methamphetamines seized this week at the former U.S. navy base of Subic is suspected to have originated from clandestine drugs laboratories in North Korea.

The Vietnam-registered boat which unloaded the 700 kilograms of high-grade methamphetamines on wednesday is said to have made port calls in North Korea.

With Philippines ports becoming transhipment points for ecstasy, cocaine and methamphetamines, the drug enforcement agency fears that prices for high quality drugs are falling.
