Researchers trial malaria drug
Updated
British researchers say they're working on a new drug that could prevent the spread of malaria.
A team of researchers at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine have discovered an enzyme critical to the parasite's sex cycle.
It could be used as an inhibitor to stop the malaria parasite from developing sexually.
The researchers say a drug based on the enzyme could stop mosquitoes which carry the parasite from transmitting it between humans.
