Injured Australian soldier transferred

Australia's Defence Force Chief says a soldier injured in a vehicle fire in Afghanistan on Tuesday is being transferred to hospital in Germany.
Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston says the man, who has yet to be named, is in a stable but serious condition.
He says no other soldiers were injured and it was an accident and did not involve enemy action.
"I understand he was involved in trying to extinguish the fire and he inhaled hot gasses into his lungs and there's some damage to his air passages," he said.
"He was initially evacuated to Kandahar, he was treated there, then subsequently the decision was taken to transport him to Germany."
