New head of French Polynesia armed forces

The French government has appointed a new head of the Armed Forces in French Polynesia.

He's Commodore Jean-Louis Vichot.

Appointed upon the advice of French defence minister Hervé Morin, Commodore Vichot is expected to take up his position on August 1.
