The Organising Committe for the Beijing Olympic Games is confident the Games infrastructure will be ready by August.
The sports venues are complete, but work is continuing on the finishing touches to transport and communications systems.
The Committee's Deputy Director, Sun Weide, says his main focus is security and providing a safe Games, and 500 security plans have been drawn up for Beijing.
"And I think Olympic security will be a basis for any successful games," he said.
"All the countries have agreed also to share intelligence and also we have even sent people, policemen to be trained for example in Australia in Olympic security."
