Scores killed as Sudan airliner bursts into flames

An airbus carrying more than 200 passengers and crew has burst into flames at the international airport in Sudan's capital, Khartoum.
The head of Khartoum airport's medical services says more than 28 people have been killed, after earlier reports from Sudan TV that more than 100 had died in the fire.
Another official says there were 123 survivors among the passengers and crew on board - which means that 66 people have not been accounted for.
Doubts have already been raised about the exact circumstances of the accident.
Sources say the Sudan Airways plane caught fire after landing at Khartoum international airport at about 8pm local time.
They say an engine seemed to have caught fire as it taxied to the terminal.
The airport's director, Yussef Ibrahim, says the cause of the fire was technical, but only an investigation will determine the precise reason.
"The aircraft was turning around very slowly to go to its parking area, then one of the engines exploded and a fire broke out," he said.
The plane had just landed in poor weather - a sand storm followed by heavy rain - on a flight from the Jordanian capital Amman.
