Fiji has again assured the African Caribbean Council of Ministers that it will hold free and fair elections in March next year.
In a statement to the council, Fiji's interim foreign affairs minister, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, said his country is committed to transparent democratic elections in 2009.
Ratu Epeli says Fiji's elections office has now been assigned adequate staff to ensure the smooth and effective running of daily operations.
