Indonesia's Supreme Court under investigation
Updated
Indonesia's Supreme Court has become the latest institution to come under investigation by the country's anti-corruption body.
The Jakarta Post says officers of the Corruption Eradication Commission confiscated documents from the court on Monday.
The paper says the commission has been investigating the alleged embezzlement of more than $US3 million in administrative fees.
Commission deputy chairman, Haryono Umar, has told Radio Australia's Asia Pacific program the action was prompted by concern expressed by the official auditor.
"The information we got in order to do this investigation, we [got in a] report from the Supreme Audit Board," he said.
"They note there is some problem with the financial management at the Supreme Court. So they sent a report and we are responding to that report."
