Australia's opposition calls cuts in oil excise

The Federal Opposition has raised doubts over what Australia's Energy Minister can achieve at the summit while the debate continues over what can be done back home about escalating petrol prices.
The Deputy Opposition Leader Julie Bishop believes Martin Ferguson is powerless and she's repeated the Coalition's call to cut petrol excise.
But speaking on Channel Ten, Ms Bishop suggested a cut of more than five centsm to petrol price.
The Nationals Leader Warren Truss also wants action locally. He says its not the oil cartels alone to be blamed,
Calling on the Coalition to be economically responsible, Mr Truss says he would like to see a 10 to 20 cent cut in excise.
