Australia remains in wealthy top 10

Australia remains in the top 10 on a global ranking of wealthy people.
An annual report from Merrill Lynch and Capgemini says there are 172,000 Australians who have more than $US1 million in assets, not counting the family home.
The United States topped the list, followed by Japan, Germany, the UK and China.
Capgemini senior manager, Wayne Li, says the number of Australians qualifying as high net worth is up 7.1 per cent, which is above the world average, but a declining growth rate.
"It has slowed from 2006 and 2005," he said.
"And that is probably in response to market conditions, with slower economic growth."
