Earthquake strikes near Tonga

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 has struck near Tonga.
The United States Geological Survey says no damage has been reported, and no tsunami warning has been issued.
The quake just after a quarter past ten in the morning local time was centred 240 kilometres east of the capital Nuku'alofa at a depth of 36 kilometres.
