Tropical storm Fengshen kills nine in China

China's media says tropical storm Fengshen killed nine people as it tore across the country's south.
Xinhua newsagency says strong rain destroyed more than 1,200 houses and inundated more than 640,000 hectares of crops.
Fengshen is moving northward into China's Jiangxi province while losing some of its ferocity.
