Officials are trying to remove 10 tonnes of toxic pesticide from the ferry that capsized in central Philippines.

In the meantime, the search for hundreds bodies feared trapped on the vessell has been postponed.

MV Princess of the Stars ran aground last Saturday during a typhoon.

It had 865 passengers and crew.

So far, only 56 survivors have been found.

Efforts to retrieve bodies from the ship were abruptly halted on Friday after authorities learned 400 boxes of a highly toxic pesticide, endosulfan, were on board.
