The United Nations is considering three sites in the Pacific for World Heritage listing.

The ancient agriculture farm at Kuk in Papua New Guinea, and the chiefly domain of Roi Mata in Vanuatu have both been nominated for inclusion on the list.

UNESCO's World Heritage Committee is also considering listing a large lagoon and reef system of New Caledonia.

Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea currently do not have any sites included on the World Heritage list.
