Claims Pakistan army knew nuclear material was transported
Updated
The disgraced Pakistani scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan has said that Pakistan transported nuclear material to North Korea with the full knowledge of the country's army.
He has told local television that the army supervised a flight of centrifuges to Pyongyang in 2000.
At the time, the current President Pervez Musharraf was head of Pakistan's army.
The statement contradicts his confession four years ago that he was solely responsible for spreading nuclear technology to North Korea, Libya and Iran.
