The President, Nambariin Enkhbayar has appealed for calm amid lingering fears of further violence.
In a midnight televised address, the President called for unity after the unrest that left five people dead following allegations of vote rigging.
He says the situation can be discussed lawfully without violence.

During the protests, the headquarters of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party, which won the elections, were burnt down.
