Deadly ambush in south Philippines

Five people were killed when gunmen opened fire on a bus in the rebellion-hit southern Philippines.

No group has claimed responsibility for the ambush, which occurred before dawn near a town where separatist Muslim guerrillas are known to operate.

The bus driver, conductor, and three passengers were killed in the attack.
