Pakistan capable of defending itself: PM
Updated
Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani says his country is fully capable of defending itself against any aggression.
He made the comments after reaffirming his position that foreign troops will not be allowed to hunt Islamic militants on Pakistani soil.
His foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on a visit to the US, says any foreign intrusion would be counterproductive and the Pakistani people would not accept it.
Washington disapproves of Islamabad's peace negotiations with the local Taliban militants and warns Al-Qaeda is rebuilding itself in Pakistan's tribal areas for a possible terrorist attack on US soil.
