Monsoon season brings heavy rain to China's Guangdon, Guangxi regions

More heavy rain has hit China's Guangdong and Guangxi provinces as southern China enters the monsoon season.
About 2.5 million acres of farmland has been swamped by flooding, driving up already high food prices.
Meanwhile the northwest of China is suffering from drought as temperatures rise to about 38 degrees.
Farmers in Xinjiang and Gansu have been covering crops with plastic to preserve water.
The regions have received little rainfaill this year.
