Former Australian attorney general dies

Former Australian attorney general, Peter Durack, has died.

He was 81.

Mr Durack was the attorney general in the Liberal government of Malcolm Fraser, from 1977 to 1983, and was one of Australia's longest serving senators.

Former Liberal senator, Fred Chaney, who served alongside Mr Durack, says he was a politician with great integrity with a tremendous intellect.
