Updated
Sedition charges against a Tongan journalist have been dropped.
Sangster Saulala, was the owner of private TV station OBN, which was shut down during pro democracy riots in 2006, which badly damaged the capital, Nukualofa, and killed eight people.
Mr Saulala was charged in relation to reports broadcast on his TV station leading up to the violence, but Tonga's Chief Justice, Tony Ford, has dismissed the case, ruling insufficient evidence.
On Tuesday, a jury acquitted pro-democracy MP, 'Isileli Pulu, on eight charges relating to the riots, while two of his co-accused, were found not guilty on nine counts, including murder, arson and endangering life.
