Thai boxers moved to avoid lure of nightlife

Thailand's boxing chief has exiled the Olympic boxing team, saying they were distracted by Thailand's nightlife.
General Taweep Jantararoj says he dispatched the kingdom's boxers to regional Vietnam three months ago, to help them avoid media focus and the lure of nightclubs.
Thailand's boxers are considered the spearhead of Asia's boxing chances in Beijing, the general says eight of the boxers are good enough to claim medals.
Thailand's previous medal-winning fighters, many of whom are former kickboxers from poor backgrounds, have achieved instant fame and earned reputations for their exuberant party lifestyles.
