Malaysia's Anwar Ibrahim to fight DNA sample demand
Updated
Opposition groups in Malaysia say Anwar Ibrahim will not give a DNA sample to police, because of fears it would be manipulated in the sodomy case against him.
The opposition leader spent the night in police custody this week and submitted to a medical exam, but refused to provide a DNA sample.
Police say they're exploring all legal avenues to get the sample.
Dr Anwar is free on bail and insists that the charges levelled against him by a former male aide are politically motivated.
