Earthquake jolts New Zealand

In New Zealand an earthquake measuring 4.1 has struck near Wanganui.

The New Zealand Herald reports the quake struck at around 7.30 am local time and was centred 20 kilometres south of the city, at a depth of 70 kilometres.

There are no reports of injury or damage.
