Decision due on Pakistan's cricket championships
Updated
The International Cricket Council will decide tonight whether Pakistan is safe enough to hold September's Champions Trophy.
Sri Lanka, South Africa and England will be considered as alternative locations for the event.
The issue is threatening to split world cricket, because several countries including Australia and New Zealand could boycott the tournament if it is not moved.
The head of the Federation of International Cricketers' Associations, Tim May, says the safety of players, officials and spectators should be the ICC's main concern.
"We've reviewed several security reports on the prospect of holding the Champions Trophy in Pakistan in September," he said.
"And emanating from that we have obviously concerns about holding the tournament there in September."
