NZ braces for second storm

New Zealand is is bracing for yet another storm expected to hit on Tuesday, as the clean up from the weekend's battering continues.

Five people died over the weekend and many homes are still without power today as the North Island recovers from the worst storm in up to 30 years.

The New Zealand Herald says the storm is not expected to be as severe as Saturday's but will still cover a large area.

It says the bad weather is expected to set in late on Tuesday with heavy rain developing across northern and western regions.
