Solomons officials to study NZ migrant labour scheme

Solomon Islands has sent a team of labour and trade officials to New Zealand to study the country's temporary migrant labour scheme.

Honiara is considering signing up to the scheme, and the group will hold a series of meetings ont he issue with New Zealand's labour department, union representatives and employers.

Solomon Islands is also in discussion with Australia and Taiwan on similar work schemes.
