Beijing clear skies continue

China's concern that the Beijing Olympics would come to be known as the 'dirty games' is steadily disappearing as anti-pollution measures start to take effect.

For the third day in a row, Beijing is enjoying clear blue skies and correspondents say this is no small achievement for the city of over 10 million.

Normally the air is murky, but Olympic measures to shift hundreds of factories and restrictions on millions of cars are now starting to have an effect.

A week ago, with skies still hazy and pollution measurements well above recommended limits, authorities had warned tougher measures would be implemented during the Games to improve air quality.
